President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has directed the Deputy National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC-North), Ali Bukar Dalori, to take over as the new party national chairman in acting capacity, pending the convening of the National Executive Committee (NEC) to formally elect a new chairman.
The All Progressives Congress (APC) on Friday, confirmed the resignation of its National Chairman, Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, with immediate effect.
In a statement issued by the APC National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka, the party revealed that Ganduje tendered his resignation through a letter addressed to the National Working Committee (NWC) via the National Secretary, Senator Ajibola Basiru.
The former Kano State governor stated that his resignation was necessary to enable him to attend to urgent and important personal matters.
The NWC expressed appreciation for Ganduje’s invaluable contributions and distinguished record of service and wished him continued success in his future endeavors.
