APC Chairman Says Tinubu’s Intervention Funds Are Boosting Small Businesses

The National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Nentawe Yilwatda, has said the intervention programmes of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu are helping to expand entrepreneurship, support small businesses and create jobs across Nigeria.

In a release issued by the APC National Chairman’s Special Adviser on Media and Information Strategy, Abimbola Tooki, Yilwatda said the intervention funds demonstrate the Tinubu administration’s commitment to fulfilling its campaign promises under the Renewed Hope Agenda by improving access to finance for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) and young entrepreneurs.

He described the ₦75 billion Presidential Intervention Fund for MSMEs as a key initiative aimed at providing affordable financing to small businesses, enabling them to expand operations, increase productivity and generate employment.

Yilwatda also highlighted the ₦11 billion support package provided through Small and Medium Enterprises Development Agency of Nigeria, saying it would strengthen the capacity and competitiveness of small businesses.

He further commended the ₦30 billion Youth Entrepreneurship Fund managed by the Niger Delta Development Commission, describing it as part of efforts to equip young Nigerians with the resources needed to establish and grow businesses.

According to the APC chairman, the intervention programmes are benefiting entrepreneurs, artisans, farmers, traders, manufacturers and other small business owners by improving access to capital, creating jobs and stimulating local economic growth.

He reaffirmed the party’s commitment to supporting policies that promote entrepreneurship, strengthen local industries and drive sustainable economic development.
