The National Chairman of Nigeria’s ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), Professor Nentawe Yilwatda, has visited victims of a recent attack in Angwan Rukuba in Plateau State, pledging efforts to end recurring violence in the area.
Mr Yilwatda was at the Jos University Teaching Hospital on Saturday, where survivors are receiving treatment following the нападение in Jos North Local Government Area. He was accompanied by his wife, Dr Martina Yilwatda.

During the visit, he described the attack as “barbaric” and called for coordinated action by authorities and communities to prevent further bloodshed.
In a statement signed by his media adviser, Abimbola Tooki, the APC chairman said the federal government under President Bola Tinubu remained committed to restoring peace and strengthening security operations in Plateau and other affected regions.

He also announced a donation of 15 million naira to support victims of the attack and other patients at the hospital, saying the funds were intended to ease medical and financial burdens.
Mr Yilwatda urged political, religious and community leaders to work together to address the underlying causes of violence and reject division.

He also paid a condolence visit to the Ujah Anaguta, the traditional ruler of Jos North, and expressed sympathy to families of those killed.
Plateau State has experienced repeated outbreaks of communal violence in recent years, often linked to longstanding ethnic and religious tensions.
