APC confirms zoning arrangement ahead of 2026 national convention

The ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) has confirmed that its existing zoning arrangement for National Working Committee (NWC) positions will remain in place ahead of its 2026 national convention.

In a statement issued in Abuja on 16 March, the party said the zoning structure, which allocates key positions across states within the country’s geo-political zones, would continue to guide the selection of party officials.

The APC said the decision was in line with its published schedule of nationwide congresses, the national convention and related activities.

It also advised aspirants seeking national offices to strictly adhere to the established zoning formular.
