The All Progressives Congress (APC) has congratulated Ekiti State Governor, Biodun Oyebanji, on his re-election in the June 20 governorship election in the state.
According to a statement signed by the party’s National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka, the APC described the victory as a demonstration of the confidence reposed in Oyebanji by the people of Ekiti State and an endorsement of his leadership and development agenda.
The ruling party said the governor’s re-election reflected public support for his administration’s policies and commitment to the development of the state.
The APC also commended the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), security agencies and other stakeholders for their roles in ensuring the successful conduct of the election.
The party praised residents of the state for their peaceful conduct and participation throughout the electoral process, describing the outcome as a reflection of democratic choice.
INEC had declared Oyebanji winner of the election after he secured 319,224 votes to defeat his closest rivals in the contest conducted across the state’s 16 local government areas.
The APC expressed confidence that the governor’s second term would accelerate development and improve the welfare of residents while advancing the policies of the Federal Government in the state.
