The National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Professor Nentawe Goshwe Yilwatda, says the ruling party remains the most viable political platform capable of delivering stability, progress and national renewal in Nigeria.

Yilwatda stated this in Abuja while addressing key national issues, warning that Nigeria cannot afford political instability or “disoriented alternatives” at a critical stage of democratic consolidation. According to a statement signed by his Special Adviser on Media and Communications Strategy, Mr Abimbola Tooki, the APC chairman said the party has demonstrated institutional maturity, national spread and administrative capacity required to manage a complex country like Nigeria.

He said the APC is focused on deepening governance, strengthening democratic culture and rebuilding public trust, stressing that it is not merely preparing for elections but working to lay a solid foundation for long-term nationaldevelopment.

This was contained in a statement signed by the APC National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka.

The newly constituted NWC is led by Prof. Nentawe Goshwe Yilwatda as National Chairman, with Hon. Ali Bukar Dalori and Dr. Benjamin Obi Nwoye serving as Deputy National Chairmen (North and South respectively), while Sen. Surajudeen Ajibola Basiru emerged as National Secretary.

Durosinmi Meseko (Deputy National Publicity Secretary), and Hajiya Zainab Abubakar Ibrahim (Deputy National Women Leader), alongside six ex-officio members representing the geopolitical zones.

Yilwatda maintained that the APC remains committed to supporting policies and reforms aimed at ensuring stability, productivity and prosperity, noting that governance requires patience, sacrifice and political consistency. He added that the party understands the weight of its responsibility as the governing party and will continue to provide the needed political support for reforms.

Commenting on opposition parties, the APC chairman described ongoing internal crises withintheir ranks as evidence of poor leadership capacity. He said parties unable to manage internal disputes, enforce discipline or build consensus cannot be trusted with national governance, warning Nigerians against entrusting power to such platforms.
