Bankole Endorses Adeola After APC Consensus Decision in Ogun

Durotolu Oyebode Bankole, a member of the NWC and representative of PWD has thrown his weight behind the All Progressives Congress (APC) consensus candidate for the 2027 governorship election in Ogun State, Solomon Olamilekan Adeola.

In a statement issued in Abuja on 14 April, the member of the party’s National Working Committee said Mr Adeola’s emergence reflected his leadership experience and commitment to the development of the state.

Mr Adeola, popularly known as Yayi, represents Ogun West Senatorial District in the National Assembly.

Mr Bankole said the lawmaker’s emergence had the support of party stakeholders, citing his background as a chartered accountant and his experience in public service.

He expressed confidence that Mr Adeola had the capacity to build on existing achievements in Ogun State.Mr Bankole also praised Governor Dapo Abiodun for promoting unity within the APC, adding that the administration had recorded progress in areas such as infrastructure, education, healthcare and agriculture.

He commended party leaders and stakeholders for agreeing on a consensus candidate, describing it as a sign of cohesion ahead of the 2027 election.

Mr Bankole urged party members and supporters to rally behind Mr Adeola, expressing optimism that the APC would retain power in the state.
