The Code of Conduct Bureau (CCB) has convened a stakeholder engagement with Heads of Service from across Nigeria to discuss practical measures for compliance with the Code of Conduct for Public Officers.
The event, held in Abuja, was organized in collaboration with the Federal Ministry of Justice, the European Union, and the International Institute for Democracy and Electoral Assistance.

CCB Chairman Dr. Abdullahi Usman Bello emphasized that compliance with the Code is crucial for accountable governance, highlighting leadership’s role in driving compliance and fostering a culture of integrity.
He noted that public officers’ responsibilities extend beyond legal obligations to moral accountability to Nigerians.

Dr. Bello also highlighted the Bureau’s reforms, including digital transformation initiatives and the Online Assets and Liabilities Declaration System (OALDS), aimed at strengthening transparency and improving compliance.
He urged Heads of Service to take ownership of compliance processes, ensuring asset declaration becomes routine and enforceable.
