Customs Fixes September Dates for Physical Screening of Successful Recruitment Candidates

The Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) has scheduled the physical screening and documentation of successful candidates in its latest recruitment exercise to begin on September 7, 2026, at the Nigeria Customs Command and Staff College (NCCSC), Gwagwalada, Abuja.

In a statement signed by the National Public Relations Officer of the NCS, Deputy Comptroller Abdullahi Maiwada, the Service said candidates shortlisted for the Superintendent Cadre (ASC II) would be screened from September 7 to 10, while those in the Inspectorate Cadre (AIC) would appear on September 14 and 15.

The Customs Assistant (CA) Cadre screening will hold from September 16 to 19, with candidates expected to report strictly on the dates assigned to their respective states.

The NCS said candidates must appear with original and photocopies of their National Identification Number (NIN), birth certificate or declaration of age, educational certificates, certificate of state of origin, two recent passport photographs and a completed guarantor’s form. NYSC certificates are also required where applicable.

Candidates are also required to wear a white T-shirt, shorts and canvas shoes for the exercise.

The Service warned that attendance is compulsory and failure to appear on the scheduled date could lead to disqualification from the recruitment process. Successful candidates will receive further instructions on subsequent stages after completing the screening and documentation.

The NCS, under the leadership of the Comptroller-General of Customs, Bashir Adewale Adeniyi, assured candidates of a transparent, fair and merit-based recruitment process and urged applicants to rely solely on official Customs communication channels for authentic information..
