Customs Graduates 50 Senior Officers, PR Personnel Sweep Top Academic Honours

The Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) has graduated 50 senior officers from the Nigeria Customs Command and Staff College (NCCSC), Gwagwalada, with two officers from the Service’s National Public Relations Unit emerging as the Overall Best and Second Best Graduating Students in Senior Course 14/2026.

According to a statement by the Service, Chief Superintendent of Customs Ridwan Yusuf emerged as the Overall Best Graduating Student, while Chief Superintendent of Customs Nuruddeen Sa’idu was named the Second Best Graduating Student at the graduation ceremony held on Friday at the Ahmed Makarfi Hall of the College in Gwagwalada.

Representing the Comptroller-General of Customs, Adewale Adeniyi, the Deputy Comptroller-General in charge of Training and Doctrine Command (TRADOC), Sulaiman Chiroma, congratulated the graduating officers on completing one of the Service’s most demanding professional training programmes. He urged them to uphold the highest standards of professionalism, discipline and integrity, reminding them that greater responsibility comes with greater expectations.

Earlier, the Commandant of the College, Assistant Comptroller-General of Customs Duwoh Gaura, said the institution remained committed to producing competent officers capable of meeting the evolving demands of customs administration and border management in line with the Comptroller-General’s vision of a more efficient and technology-driven Service.

The graduation ceremony followed a regimental dinner held on June 24 at the NCCSC Hotel in Gwagwalada in honour of the graduating officers. The event was attended by members of the Customs management team, senior officers and invited guests, with the Comptroller-General represented by Deputy Comptroller-General Chiroma.
