ABUJA — The Federal Capital Territory Police Command on Tuesday commenced the written examination for the recruitment of Police Specialist and General Duty Constables across designated centres nationwide.
The exercise began April 28, 2026, with the Police Officers’ Wives Association Secondary School, Abuja, as one of the examination centres in the FCT.
Commissioner of Police, FCT Command, CP Ahmed Muhammed Sanusi, visited the Abuja centre to assess the exercise and ensure compliance with all directives.

Sanusi said he was satisfied with the level of organisation, the conduct of candidates, and the professionalism of officers supervising the exam. He added that adequate security and logistical arrangements had been put in place to ensure a hitch-free process.
The command advised applicants who have not yet sat for the examination to strictly adhere to the date and time stated on their Examination Invitation Slips and report promptly to their designated centres.

Candidates are required to come with their printed Examination Invitation slip, National Identification Number slip bearing a clear photograph, and a writing pen. They must also comply with the approved dress code.
Police Public Relations Officer, FCT Command, SP Josephine Adeh, issued the statement on Tuesday in Abuja.
