Nigeria’s First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, on Tuesday commissioned the National Secretariat of the Tinubu Torch Bearers (TTB) in Asokoro, Abuja, as part of efforts to strengthen grassroots awareness of the Federal Government’s Renewed Hope Agenda.

The First Lady was represented at the event by the Minister of Women Affairs, Hajiya Imaan Sulaiman-Ibrahim. The ceremony was convened by the National Woman Leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Dr. Mary Alile-Idele.

The Tinubu Torch Bearers is a grassroots mobilisation platform established to promote and communicate the policies, programmes and achievements of President Bola Tinubu’s administration across communities nationwide.

Speaking at the event, the organisers said the initiative is designed to deepen public understanding of government interventions and ensure that the benefits of the Renewed Hope Agenda reach ordinary Nigerians.

They noted that the platform would serve as a bridge between the government and citizens by mobilising support, increasing awareness and fostering community engagement on key national development programmes.

The commissioning of the secretariat is expected to strengthen the group’s nationwide outreach activities and enhance efforts to communicate the impact of government policies at the grassroots level.

The event was attended by APC leaders, women groups, political stakeholders and supporters of the Tinubu administration.
