Governors, Ministers Head Key Committees as APC Unveils 2026 National Convention Line-Up

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has announced the composition of sub-committees for its 2026 National Convention, as the ruling party intensifies preparations for the event.

In a statement signed by the party’s National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka, the APC said the sub-committees were approved to ensure a transparent, credible and well-coordinated convention, with responsibilities spanning operational, administrative, electoral, logistics, security and programme-related activities.

According to the party, the leadership of the National Convention sub-committees is as follows:

Aspirants’ Screening Committee:
Chairman – Abiodun Abayomi Oyebanji;
Co-Chairman – Usman Ododo;
Vice Chairman – Senator Ken Nnamani.

Screening Appeal Committee:
Chairman – Umar Namadi;
Co-Chairman – Francis Nwifuru;
Vice Chairman – Abdullahi Umar Ganduje.

Election Committee:
Chairman – Aminu Bello Masari;
Co-Chairman – Senator Anyim Pius Anyim;
Vice Chairman I – Uba Sani;
Vice Chairman II – Monday Okpebholo.

Election Appeal Committee:
Chairman – Agbu Kefas;

The APC urged all committee members to carryout their assignments with diligence and in strict compliance with the party’s constitution and approved guidelines.

The party also reassured its members, stakeholders and Nigerians of its commitment to delivering a credible and transparent National Convention, aimed at strengthening internal democracy and consolidating its progressive ideals.
