ABUJA — Inspector-General of Police (IGP) Olatunji Rilwan Disu has met with the Director-General of the National Institute for Policy and Strategic Studies, (NIPSS) Professor Ayo Omotayo, to discuss strategic collaboration between both institutions.
The meeting, held at Force Headquarters in Abuja, focused on strengthening partnership in national security, strategic leadership, capacity development, and policy support.

Professor Omotayo was accompanied by DIG ‘Leye Oyebade (Rtd) and Dr. Garba Malumfashi. He described NIPSS as Nigeria’s foremost policy think tank under the Presidency, serving as the nation’s apex platform for strategic reflection, research, and dialogue among top-level technocrats and leaders.

He reaffirmed the Force’s commitment to intelligence-led policing, capacity development, and reforms aimed at improving professionalism and service delivery.

The IGP assured the NIPSS delegation of the Police Force’s readiness to partner on research, policy formulation, and leadership development initiatives to strengthen internal security and governance.
The meeting underscores the Nigeria Police Force’s push for institutional partnerships in the effort to ensure a safer and more secure Nigeria, according to a statement issued by Force Public Relations Officer DCP Anthony Okon Placid on April 17.
