The Inspector-General of Police, Olatunji Rilwan Disu, on Monday received the Governor of Akwa Ibom State, Umo Eno, at the Force Headquarters in Abuja during a courtesy visit.
The governor was accompanied by the Secretary to the State Government, Enobong Uwah; Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Frank Archibong; Commissioner for Internal Security, Gen. Koko Essien; Commissioner for Works and Fire Service, Prof. Eno Ibanga; Commissioner for Science and Digital Economy, Dr. Frank Ekpenyong; and the President General of the Arise with Renewed Hope Initiative, Uwem Okoko.

During the visit, Eno congratulated the IGP on his appointment and expressed confidence in his leadership of the Nigeria Police Force. He also commended the police for their efforts in maintaining law and order, describing the Force as a critical institution in sustaining national peace and stability.
In his response, Disu stressed the importance of sustained collaboration between the police and state governments in addressing evolving security challenges.

He reaffirmed the commitment of the Force to strengthening operational effectiveness through partnerships at the state level to ensure improved safety for residents.
