Kim Kardashian Appears in Court to Testify in 2016 Robbery Case

Kim Kardashian has testified in the ongoing trial of 10 individuals accused of robbing her at gunpoint during her 2016 trip to Paris, an incident that left the world stunned and Kim visibly shaken for years.

The reality star and beauty mogul took the stand in a Paris courtroom, nearly a decade after the infamous robbery, which is now considered one of France’s biggest personal thefts in recent history.

The suspects, nine men and one woman, most of them in their 60s and 70s. allegedly disguised themselves as police officers to gain access to Kim’s luxury suite at the Hôtel de Pourtalès, where she was staying for Paris Fashion Week. They made off with an estimated $10 million worth of jewelry, including a diamond ring that became a media fixation.

Kim appeared in court wearing full glam and diamonds, including a ring similar to the one stolen, a subtle but bold move many called a moment of reclamation. It was her first time facing some of the accused since that terrifying night.

With tears in her eyes, she told the court she genuinely believed she was going to be raped or killed as masked gunmen tied her up and held her at gunpoint.

Two of the ten suspects have already confessed. One co-authored a book titled “I Kidnapped Kim Kardashian” and another wrote her a letter from jail, expressing regret and reading it aloud during the trial. “I’m not asking for mercy,” he said, “just wanted her to know how deeply I regret what happened.”
