The ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) have paid tribute to the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, as he marked his birthday, praising his record in public service and contributions to national development.
In a statement signed by the APC National Vice Chairman (South-South), Victor Giadom, and the party’s National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka, the party leaders described Mr Wike, a former governor of Rivers State, as a committed public servant whose leadership had left a lasting impact both in the South-South region and at the national level.
They highlighted his tenure as governor, noting investments in infrastructure, education, healthcare and urban renewal, which they said improved governance and service delivery in Rivers State.
The APC officials also praised his performance as FCT minister, citing what they described as extensive road construction, rail rehabilitation, reforms in land administration and improved city management in Abuja. They said the initiatives had helped reposition the capital as a functional modern city.
The statement further commended Mr Wike’s role in supporting President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda, saying his work had contributed to the administration’s broader development goals.
Mr Giadom and Mr Morka concluded by wishing the minister good health and continued strength, expressing hope for many more years of service to the country.
