The Nigerian Air Force has sustained coordinated attacks on key terrorist facilities and logistics enclaves within the Sambisa Forest axis of Borno State, triggering apprehension and confusion among terrorist groups operating in the area.
In a statement issued on Tuesday by the Director of Public Relations and Information, Headquarters Nigerian Air Force, Air Commodore Ehimen Ejodame, the NAF said the Air Component of Operation HADIN KAI carried out precision air strikes on identified terrorist hideouts and support structures at Biramiri in the Gezuwa general area of Borno State on May 26, 2026.
According to the statement, the strikes followed credible Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance reports which identified the locations as terrorist strongholds.
The NAF disclosed that the coordinated attacksdestroyed major terrorist facilities and neutralised several fighters, further crippling the operational capacity of the insurgents.
The statement added that the sustained air offensives have continued to generate fear and disorientation within the ranks of the terrorists, as the bombardments deny them freedom of movement and safe havens across the Sambisa axis.
The Air Force reaffirmed its commitment, alongside troops of Operation HADIN KAI and other security agencies, to maintain relentless pressure on terrorist networks while protecting innocent lives and restoring lasting peace and security in the North-East.
