NAF Graduates 111 Special Forces Operators to Strengthen National Security Operations

The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has graduated 111 personnel from its Special Forces Course 13/2026 as part of efforts to enhance operational capability and strengthen support for ongoing military operations across the country.

According to a statement signed by the Director of Public Relations and Information, Air Commodore Ehimen Ejodame, the graduation ceremony was held at the Regiment Training Centre Annex in Bauchi, where the personnel completed an intensive special forces training programme.

The Chief of the Air Staff, Air Marshal Sunday Aneke, who was represented by the Chief of Training, Air Vice Marshal AY Dari, congratulated the graduates and urged them to uphold professionalism, discipline and courage in the discharge of their duties.

He said the newly trained operators had become part of an elite force entrusted with critical responsibilities in safeguarding the nation and supporting military operations against security threats.

According to the Air Chief, the training programme equipped the personnel with specialised knowledge, tactical skills and operational resilience required for special forces missions in complex operational environments.

The trainees underwent rigorous physical, mental and tactical exercises aimed at improving leadership, teamwork, adaptability and mission effectiveness in support of air and joint military operations.

Earlier, the Commandant of the Regiment Training Centre Annex, Squadron Leader EL Akpan, commended the leadership of the Nigerian Air Force for its continued support for special forces training and capacity development.

A highlight of the graduation ceremony was a series of tactical demonstrations by the graduating personnel, including obstacle-crossing drills, commando self-defence techniques and air assault operations.

The event was attended by senior military officers, representatives of sister services, security agencies and other invited guests.
