The Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) has warned the public about a fake message circulating on social media, describing the content as false and not originating from the agency.
In a notice issued on Monday, the Service said its attention had been drawn to the misleading information and urged Nigerians to disregard it.
The NCS stressed that the claims contained in the viral message were not issued by the Service and should not be treated as credible.
It advised members of the public to rely only on information shared through its verified communication channels to avoid being misled.
The agency listed its official platforms as Facebook (Nigeria Customs Service), Instagram (@customsng), TikTok (@customsng), Threads(@customsng), X (@customsng), and its website, www.customs.gov.ng
