The Nigerian Army School of Public Relations and Information (NASPRI) has inaugurated its Second Quarter Courses for 2026 at the Lt. Gen. Taoreed Lagbaja Auditorium, Muhammadu Buhari Cantonment, Giri, Abuja.
In a statement signed by the Training Officer, NASPRI, Captain Christian Onyemachi, the courses are aimed at strengthening communication and information management capacity among personnel of the Armed Forces.

Speaking at the event, the Acting Director, Army Public Relations, Colonel Apollonia Anele, said the training is designed to address current security challenges, including the role of digital platforms in military operations and public communication. She said the courses would equip participants with skills required to manage information and engage the public effectively.
She noted that the use of social media has changed how military activities are reported and perceived, adding that accurate and timely communication is important in supporting operations.

The Acting Commandant of NASPRI, Lieutenant Colonel Shuaib Umar, urged participants to maintain discipline and commitment throughout the training, adding that the school would enforce its standards.
The Acting Chief Instructor, Major Nureni Alimi, said the curriculum combines theory and practical training to improve participants’ readiness.

The event featured the inauguration of the courses, presentation of souvenirs, a tree planting exercise and group photographs.
