Troops of Operation HADIN KAI have neutralised terrorists, rescued abducted victims and recovered arms, ammunition and explosive devices during coordinated operations across the North East theatre.
In a statement signed by the Media Information Officer, Headquarters Joint Task Force (North East) Operation HADIN KAI, Lieutenant Colonel Sani Uba, on Friday, troops operating under Operation DESERT SANITY and other missions recorded several operational successes in Borno and parts of Adamawa State.
The statement said troops supported by the Civilian Joint Task Force conducted offensives in Valle, Ashigashiya and Gakara areas, where they engaged suspected Boko Haram and ISWAP fighters, neutralising three terrorists while others fled.

Items recovered during the operations included aradio set and a mobile phone.
Troops also rescued an eight-year-old boy abducted during the March 3 attack on Ngoshe community in Gwoza Local Government Area of Borno State. The victim was identified as Abubakar Mublagha and has been reunited with his family after medical evaluation.
Similarly, troops rescued a 20-year-old abducted Fulani man, Dahiru Ahamdu, along the Gwoza–Limankara axis. The victim reportedly escaped from a terrorist enclave in the Mandara Mountains following intense artillery bombardments by troops.

In another operation at Buni Gari, troops recovered explosive ordnance abandoned by fleeing terrorists, including RPG bombs and mortar bombs, which were secured by Explosive Ordnance Disposal teams.
The military also arrested a suspected terroristcollaborator identified as Kuti Muhammad, said to be a member of the Civilian Joint Task Force, alongside other suspects linked to armed robbery and cattle rustling operations in parts of the theatre.
Operation HADIN KAI said troops remain on high alert and committed to sustaining aggressive operations against terrorists and criminal elements across the North East.
