The Governor of Osun State, Ademola Adeleke, has endorsed President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for a second term in 2027, describing him as a “proud son of Osun State.”
Governor Adeleke made this known following a meeting with the leadership caucus of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Osogbo, where key resolutions were reached after weeks of consultations with various stakeholders across the state.
In a statement shared on his official platform, Adeleke confirmed his continued loyalty to the PDP, the party under which he was elected governor. He also announced that he has been unanimously endorsed by the Osun PDP to contest for a second term in office in 2026.
Beyond his personal ambition, the governor revealed that the Osun PDP has officially endorsed President Tinubu, who hails from the state for re-election in 2027. The endorsement marks a rare cross-party alignment and is seen as a significant political statement within Nigeria’s evolving democratic landscape.
“PDP remains the most popular and trusted party across Osun State,” Adeleke declared, reaffirming his commitment to the party and to delivering on his administration’s Five-Point Agenda.
He expressed gratitude for the love and support he continues to receive from the people of Osun, assuring them of sustained service and development-focused governance.
“Together, we move forward,” he concluded.
