The Oyo/Osun Area Command of the Nigeria Customs Service says it remains committed to deepening partnerships with major stakeholders to enhance operational efficiency and boost revenue generation.

In a statement signed by Assistant Superintendent of Customs I, Abdulmalik Abiodun Akintola, for the Acting Customs Area Controller, the Service confirmed that a delegation from International Breweries Plc, Ilesha, visited the Command’s operational headquarters on Thursday as part of efforts to strengthen existing collaboration between the excise factory and the Customs Service.

The Acting Customs Area Controller, Deputy Comptroller Wale Moses Adewole, received the delegation and described the visit as a reflection of the company’s commitment to institutional cooperation. He identified International Breweries as a key stakeholder and commended its consistent compliance with the Nigeria Customs Service Act governing excise operations.

Adewole said continued synergy between the Service and excise factories remained vital to achieving core Customs mandates, including trade facilitation, regulatory compliance and revenue generation. He appealed for the company’s sustained cooperation and assured the delegation of the Command’s commitment to maintaining a transparent and efficient operational environment.

Speaking on behalf of the visiting team, the Operational Manager of International Breweries Plc, Mr Emmanuel Onabanjo, thanked the Command for the warm reception and reaffirmed the company’s commitment to upholding a productive working relationship with the Service. He pledged ongoing cooperation in meeting statutory obligations and assured that officers deployed to the facility would receive timely information and necessary support.

The visit forms part of the Nigeria Customs Service’s broader engagement strategy aimed at promoting voluntary compliance, strengthening public–private partnerships and improving excise administration. The Oyo/Osun Area Command said it remains focused on building stronger ties with compliant organisations in support of national economic development.
