The ECOWAS Parliament has convened a Joint Committee Meeting in Freetown, Sierra Leone, focusing on strengthening child protection across the region.
The meeting brought together committees on social affairs, legal affairs, trade, and political affairs to address issues related to children in street situations and child exploitation.

The meeting aimed to facilitate dialogue, field visits, and collaborative action to deliver stronger protections for vulnerable children. Participants engaged in discussions and actions to promote the safeguarding of children’s rights and address the challenges they face in West Africa.
The ECOWAS Parliament’s initiative highlights the region’s commitment to protecting children and promoting their welfare.
