Police Deploy Tactical Teams to Sagamu–Benin Expressway After Security Incident

The Ogun State Police Command has deployed additional tactical operatives to the Sagamu–Benin Expressway following a security incident around the J4 axis of the highway.

According to a statement issued on Friday by the Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Oluseyi Babaseyi, the deployment was ordered by the Commissioner of Police, Bode Ojajuni, after the command received a distress call on Thursday.

The command said four units of the Police Mobile Force, operatives of the Anti-Kidnapping Unit and other tactical teams have been deployed to the area, where an intensive bush-combing operation is underway to track down the fleeing suspects.

The command urged members of the public to remain calm, assuring that adequate security measures have been put in place to safeguard lives and property along the expressway.
