The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Command has commissioned two new police outposts in Abuja and laid the foundation for another at T-Pumpy Estate in Lugbe, as part of efforts to strengthen community policing and improve security across rapidly growing residential areas.
In a statement signed by the Police Public Relations Officer, SP Josephine Adeh, the Commissioner of Police in the FCT, Miller Dantawaye, said the new facilities were donated by private organisations to improve police visibility and response time.
The outposts commissioned are located at the Abuja Chamber of Commerce and Industry Ultra-Modern Shopping Complex in Lugbe and the National Judicial Institute along Airport Road, while the foundation stone was laid for another outpost at the fast-developing T-Pumpy Estate Lugbe, Abuja.

The police said the Lugbe outpost was provided by the management of T-Pumpy Estate, part of the real estate developments of T-Pumpy Concept Limited, a company founded by Nigerian entrepreneur Adaralegbe Akintayo. The firm, which focuses on providing affordable housing, has developed more than 40 estates across Abuja and other cities and sold thousands of plots of land to homeowners and investors.
Akintayo, a real estate developer and philanthropist recognised among influential property entrepreneurs in Nigeria, has also received awards including Real Estate Personality of the Year at the Global Excellence Recognition Awards.
The police commissioner thanked the estate’s management for supporting security infrastructure and urged officers deployed to the new outposts to maintain professionalism and build strong relationships with residents.
