Senator Godswill Akpabio says he will be appealing the ruling of the Appeal Court which sacked him as the Senatorial candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC, for Akwa Ibom North West.
Akpabio, in a statement on Tuesday said his lawyers have commenced the scrutiny of the contents of the judgement as read, for the purposes of seeking appropriate legal redress.
A three-member panel of justices headed by Justice Danlami Senchi on Monday upturned the judgement of the lower court saying that Akpabio who participated in the APC presidential primary did not participate in the valid primary in the State held on May 28 and monitored by the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, which produced DIG Udom Ekpoudom as the Senatorial candidate of the party.
