Troops of the Joint Task Force North East, Operation HADIN KAI (OPHK), have rescued six abducted women and children during operations along the Amuda-Gava corridor in the Mandara Mountains axis of Borno State.

The rescued victims were identified as Amina Salihu, Aishatu Musa, twin sisters Hassana and Hussaina Abubakar, Adamu Zakariyya, and Usman Zakariyya, all residents of Ngoshe community abducted by Boko Haram/ISWAP terrorists.

In a statement signed by the Media Information Officer of OPHK, Lieutenant Colonel Sani Uba, troops also neutralised two terrorists during clearance operations at Bazamri village in Konduga Local Government Area.

Meanwhile, troops deployed at Mainé checkpoint in Yobe State arrested a suspected Boko Haramcollaborator, Ibrahim Alhaji Julo, allegedly involved in transporting terrorists and facilitating illegal tax collection within communities.

Recovered items included logistics supplies, a mobile phone, and cash.

The military disclosed that more than 60 women and children had so far been rescued since the March 3 attack on Ngoshe community, adding that troops would sustain aggressive operations to dismantle terrorist networks and restore peace across the North East.
