Wrestling heavyweight and pop culture phenomenon Hulk Hogan has died at the age of 71, leaving behind a towering legacy that helped redefine sports entertainment across the globe.

His death which was confirmed on Wednesday by his representatives comes just weeks after his wife publicly dismissed rumors about his health.
