Barely days after stepping down as the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje has been appointed and officially inaugurated as Chairman of the Board of the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN).
The inauguration, held in Abuja, was conducted by the Federal Ministry of Aviation and Aerospace Development and presided over by the Minister, Festus Keyamo.
Also inducted during the ceremony were seven other board members representing key ministries and aviation institutions.

Minister Keyamo described the inauguration as a vital move toward repositioning Nigeria’s aviation sector. Welcoming Ganduje into his new role, he expressed confidence that the former Kano State governor’s political reach and leadership experience would bring renewed efficiency to FAAN’s operations.
In a lighter tone, Keyamo remarked that Ganduje’s presence would ease funding concerns, joking that he could simply press a button and money would appear.
In his remarks, Dr. Ganduje thanked President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for the appointment and promised to offer focused leadership that aligns with the administration’s Renewed Hope Agenda.
