The Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) has been applauded for playing a significant role in the growth of the Nigerian economy in the last 35 years.
The Minister of Information and National Orientation, Mohammed Idris, gave the commendation in Abuja when he received the Registrar-General and Chief Executive Officer, CAC Hussaini Ishaq Magaji, SAN in his office.
The minister noted with delight that registering a company was no longer a herculean task in view of the reforms embarked upon by the CAC in line with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s reforms.
“It is heartwarming that Nigerians can now register companies online in the comfort of their homes”, the minister said.
He also noted with delight that the CAC equally played a significant role in achieving the delisting of Nigeria from the grey list of Financial Action Task Force (FATF) in the last quarter of 2025.

As a result, the minister said Nigeria is no longer a country of concern on many economic matters, especially terrorism financing and money laundering amongst others.
Mohammed Idris therefore congratulated the CAC on recording many milestone achievements especially in the last three years through the use of technology.
Earlier speaking, the Registrar-General/CEO CAC, Hussaini Ishaq Magaji, SAN, highlighted some of the reform initiatives embarked upon by the Commission, especially the development and deployment of Artificial Intelligence in its processes, beginning with the start-to-finish registration of business names within minutes.
While unveiling plans by the commission to celebrate its 35th anniversary beginning February 6, 2026, the CAC boss also revealed the deployment of a new website embedded with an AI lawyer assistant to further deepen ease of doing business.
